it's always weird to be reading a couple pages of what i assume is a current thread, just to run into a post i made myself 5 years ago.

that steel should be very simple to change around.
i'd just try to hook up with another player who could help you out with it rather than pay hundreds of dollars to the specialty guys for a simple task.

agree!! i wouldn't like being called an asshole who couldn't play home on the range. and if so, i wouldn't consider doing further business with 'em. you'd think just out of good faith the guy could apologize and send you some new 3rd strings. if his profit margin is so low he can't, it's not really ...

contact the overfelt guy and ask him what to do. this is a fairly new product being offered by him and i would think he'd like to make sure he's putting out something reliable.

that he programmed a separate setting for you that was much better than the telonics setting?

well...moving two lower string rods is pretty simple.

i've had no problems since using skinny george l's cords for everything except the longer cord to my amp.

new strings always sound brighter and bring out the
sound of the wraps more. take advantage of this time
to work on your technique.
the strings should settle in and get a little smoother in a week or less.
