that steel should be very simple to change around.
i'd just try to hook up with another player who could help you out with it rather than pay hundreds of dollars to the specialty guys for a simple task.

agree!! i wouldn't like being called an asshole who couldn't play home on the range. and if so, i wouldn't consider doing further business with 'em. you'd think just out of good faith the guy could apologize and send you some new 3rd strings. if his profit margin is so low he can't, it's not really ...

new strings always sound brighter and bring out the
sound of the wraps more. take advantage of this time
to work on your technique.
the strings should settle in and get a little smoother in a week or less.
