Strings

Jerry, I have tryed them all and the best is "Jagwire" so much better than the rest in my opinion! I have my own series with Jagwire--Walter Haynes E9 Ninth and 6 Sixth, try a set of both I think you will like them. Thanks,

I have used every brand for steel gutar and when I tried Jagwire the trying was over! I have 2 Emmons gutars and they both are strung up with Jagwire! David, I have used them all and Jaywires are the best period! Jaywires last much longer and I have not broken a third on E9th since I have been using them. Jagwire Strings

I met Danny in St.Louis when I was inducted in 2003 and he said why don,t try a set of Jagwires. I had not heard of Jagwires before and I am sure glad I tryed the set he gave me to try. I have used Jagwires ever since, best string made period!

In the fifties I used a capo on a lot records, it gave me open strings to use when needed them. It came in handy when we did a cajan tune or a fiddle tune. I made a lot of records with the Everly's in the 50's I can't remember what lable they were on! I know they had a lot hits. I wish I kept a record of the the folks I recorded with , somewhere around 2500 sessions in the 50's-----

I was blessed getting to work with the so called A-TEAM during the 50,s and 60,s. I made about 2500 sessions in over 2 and a half years. I did of lot work for Owen Bradley and later went to work for him as his assistant in production. It was a TRIP FOR SURE!!!!

Lloyd Green played steel on "Satin Sheets" and what a great job he did on that record as well as all the others he played on. It's good to know that he is doing sessions again, go get 'em Lloyd---------

I produced the Album "THE LORD KNOWS I'M DRINKING' for Cal on MCA Records and I believe Weldon was playing steel on it. I used Weldon a lot with Cal Smith.
