Best battery powered reverb?

I've been going to a lot of rehearsals lately. It actually helps. Anyway I've been bringing a "practice rig". I've been using an old zoom multi-effects that I don't like too much. I'm looking for a decent sounding reverb pedal, but would like to run it off a battery rather than try and fin...

Ahhh! Thanks. Hilarious. Not bragging, but I can get two weeks after some of the stuff that comes out of my E9. Proud to say though I’ll never get fired for my attitude, which is always the best reason.

I'm one of the guys who gave up after about a YEAR! I got a new Excel E9/C6 single neck. It was an amazing machine, and you flipped a 'gearshift" to move between the two tunings. In the E9 position, the two extra strings were at the bottom, and in C6 the two extra strings were at the top. The e...

Wow. Bass player has a lot going on too. I'm surprised how good the sound was. Sounded like a magnetic pickup, but couldn't see any cords anywhere. Thanks for posting.

Congratulations Mr. Franklin on reaching 90. It's amazing how fast it goes. I was a new player in 1994 when you built me purple Franklin #161. I remember you sitting patiently with me and the guitar in a hotel room, a concerned look on your face as you listened to me complain about bar buzz on the 1...

Thanks. I’ll send more pics, and some drawings with measurements. An 8-32 almost 1/2” longer hits the bottom of the hole without hitting threads first. Seems to me either the imaginary threaded hole was drilled too big for an 8-32, or there was a nut in there that fell off. There is no sign of strip...

Thanks everybody for your thought and comments. I’m saving the mystery screw until we figure out what it does. Guitar still plays great, but a 747 flies fine with three engines too. Hopefully someone has taken a Franklin apart and can tell me. I do not want to remove any other of the flat heads to i...

Thanks: No solution yet. The Franklin Mystery Screw is an 8-32. Below is a picture of it next to a 10-32 I bought at the hardware store. My caliper measures the thread diameters of them at 0.1565 and 0.1820 respectively, which is about right for a #8 and #10. The #10 screw diameter is too big to eve...

Franklin Mystery Screw

Although the title of this post would be a great name for a new PF lick, this post is actually is about a freely-turning screw I found under the C6 changer of my '94 Franklin D10. While snugging up screws underneath, I found that a #8 flat head just spun freely. The threads on the screw show no sign...

Thanks Jim. Sorry everybody, I guess I hijacked my own thread. I was thinking that the uneven leg length might be from cabinet movement, so i thought I'd go under the guitar and make sure all screws were snug. I found a couple loose wood screws which held the endplates. Snugging them up actually got...

Thanks Bobby: At least it doesn't seem to be a "critical" screw, although it might be that that bad screw is what makes Franklins sound that way (I don't believe it for a second). I don't know how much the necks actually contribute to the stiffness of the cabinet. If there are any other Fr...

Thanks Robby. I am mystified a bit. First, I’m not really sure it’s a neck screw. I tried your first experiment, and measured the depth, and it was a full 1/4 inch deeper than the screw that was there! I cut a new screw of the same size (#6) and thread, and it dropped to the bottom without catching ...
