I always would hangout with Fred in Dallas, Phoenix, and Baxter. Good natured, funny, and a fantastic steel player. I never could play his setup on his personal steel. That he could get a tune out of that thing was a miracle to me. But if you ever heard him play you knew he was Top Notch.

I use Freeman Tuell Speaker repair in Dallas for my JBL-D130F’s and they sound great to me.

I’ve been playing thru my Black Widow equipped LTD for a year and it’s a great sounding amp. Doesn’t take up much space and leaves room for a Fender guitar amp. Plenty of clean volume in a small package.

I’ve had a few steels but this old ‘95 Emmons beats’em all.

If I needed a new seat a Steelers Choice would be my choice. This old Sho-Bud with my homespun back rest made from a leg brace will probably outlast me.

I made new reverb wires for my Peavey LTD out of George L’s guitar cable and RCA plugs. Works great and quiet as a mouse.

The people that are exceptionally talented musicians know they can produce in any situation. I always admire the things Paul and my favorite piano player of all time, Hargus “Pig” Robbins come up with. Experience and a great ear are the two things most of us don’t have.

If you will send it to Grover they will replace it for the price of postage. I’ve had four keys replaced off of my steel and different guitars. They guarantee all of their keys and it doesn’t matter how old they are.

I bought one of these from Gene last year and it’s a great amp. I haul this amp for steel and my old’64 Princeton Reverb for guitar. Good luck on your sale Gene.

The last time I emailed Sharp she said she was having trouble getting materials. So I have a friend that makes boat covers and he made one for my LTD for $20. It’s tuff and works great.

I’ve been using them for a couple of years, and I get 20 or 30 gigs out of a set on my old Emmons. Never had a broken string yet.

Just shy of 50lbs., and I carry two extra vol. pedals, and an Anvil briefcase in my truck.
