One of my heroes. He certainly taught a generation of guitarists how to always compliment a vocalist with just the right combination of tone, touch, feeling and fire.
They don't make 'em like him anymore.

I had the pleasure of doing some overdubs on this very project for Gary. I have worked closely with Gary over the years on the road and in the studio with Randy Travis and also with Faith Hill. He is a fine steel guitar player and often unrecognised talent. He is very inventive and has a super ear. ...

Hi Earl, Long time no see(You still have that Birdland?)...:-). Pro-Tools is a software program used quite alot in, Nashville at least, to automatically "tune" the vocals. It has made many an average live singer into a good studio singer. I think it has been in wide use about 3 or 4 years....
