Coming to Dallas with amps for sale

I'm headed to the TSGA Show in Dallas this week. I will have 2 Peavy amps with me and for sale. A Nashville 400 I bought in 1984 and in very good condition. A Nashville 1000 that's like new and one of the last ones Peavy made. Used very little. Also a vintage Sho-Bud volume pedal. If anyone is inter...

After 21 straight years of attending Scotty's ISGC, this Labor Day weekend will feel very empty. Many, many thanks to the Scott family for providing us in the steel guitar community such a great forum for sharing our love for this instrument. I had a chance to talk with Michael Scott in Dallas this ...

Jim, you are right the harmonics are all over the place. The only other steel guitarist I have heard do an outstanding job on that tune is Russ Hicks. Oh, and BTW Stephen, Dale "eviserated" Alley Cat. I guess that is one way to put it LOL.

I am in the beautiful state of Oregon visiting family with my wife Barbara through this weekend. I would love to hear Bob play. I have his CD's and they are wonderful. They are now being played on Charles Tilley's web site. I know it is going to be good at the Jam. Hope to see everyone the next time.

The really sad part for us is that we live a block away from the American Legion hall here in Wallis. I bought my first D-10 Super Pro Sho-Bud from Herb in 1983. I couldn't resist callin...

It is hard to imagine the world of steel guitar without Buddy Emmons. Since the mid to late 1960's after hearing him play the instrument, I was compelled to try and learn the steel guitar. Now after all these years I am still trying to figure out the beautiful phrases he played with such passion. Wh...

Very sad news to hear of Mel passing away. I will always remember the time we spent discussing steel guitar and the many players.
