I haven't posted in nine years.

Sold my steel gear years ago and just played regular old loud guitar that I had already been doing since I was a kid but I am thinking about playing some steel again. Nice to be back.

I have Jerry's big book. But in the video that Scotty also sells is there a good video representation of p-tah? I may be a bit thick headed but I may need to see it to really "get" it.

Maybe I am getting old and having trouble understanding but if I normally like my pedal to stay in the midway position when I remove my foot which is where I have normal volume level set then I am not going to want this pedal, right? Because this sounds like it goes back to toe down position which i...

Goodrich 120. Pot needs restrung.

No making fun of me here. Not if you want a good deal, that is. Okay, I have here a Goodrich 120 that I bought here on the forum last year. The pot went scratchy. I bought a Bradshaw pot for it. It works beautifully but I am too fumble fingered to get it strung up in the correct manner and am fed up...

That would be a great web site if they told you how much the amp was or where you could buy one.

I got my copper tape. And what I want to do here is cover the bottom of the pickup with it, correct? Okay, now to attach it to ground can I leave an end of the tape long and stick it to the ground wire in the cavity? Will that work?

WTB: Jerry Byrd Tribotone bar.

At the risk of sounding like a cheapo, I want one of these but am worried about paying list for a new one and hating it. If anyone has one of these they want to get rid of...let me know what you want for it. Thanks!

Hum. But in one position it goes away.

When I sit and play my lap steel, I get hum. Regardless of mu amp choice. If I play standing, the same. However. if I turn the guitar up so it sits on it's side, no hum. What the heck? Anyone know?
