Dave,

What a great looking gitbox. I didn't know my double 12 had a little bro... Mine's dated 1976 too, but it has the silk screen graphics.

Sho~Bud Volume Pedal

I have one of the old volume pedals for sale. It's in great shape, but is too high profile to fit comfortably under my D-12. I'm willing to go for $100 plus shipping. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0808/1037_ShoBud_volume_pedal_1_1.jpg http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0808/1037_ShoBud_vo...

I have one I was just getting ready to put up on Craigslist. I can send you a couple of pictures if you'd like. It has the box too. I'll let it go for $120 shipped.

Darryl, B0B & Earnest are quite correct in that you can tune these things any way you want. I believe mine is set up as a factory MSA default. Your issue is probably more the right hand spacing. My mother used to tell me I had a pianist's hands (long & slender fingers). Great, I guess, on a ...

Darryl, I've been playing my MSA D-12 for about 4 years now & anymore, it's difficult for me to play a D-10... The E9th neck has 2 extra lower strings, but the C6th has 2 higher. As a result, I orient my right hand for any given grip that's different than on a D-10. Not a problem on the E9th, bu...

Jamie, Thanks for the info. I'm used to raising E's on LKL & lowering them on RKL as I was brought up on Sho~Buds, but I'm game to try it. I usually play at Buck's in Woodland Park on Sunday afternoons. They do a country and western swing jam, so I get a C6th workout too. I'd like to get back to...

Rick, Which knee levers do what on your rig..? I wouldn't mind dropping in, but I don't want to embarass anybody by hitting the wrong ones. I do that enough on my own D12... I live up the pass in Woodland Park, but work down in Briargate, so I pass by the Hogan on my way home every night. Sounds lik...

Folks, I have a very green Lloyd Green I'm looking to adopt out to a good home. Ever since I picked up my MSA D-12, I've been playing the C6th constantly & I know I can never go back to a single 10... It's an early 80's model & has Sho~Bud's standard copedent as follows: - Emmons pedal setup...

Pssst... Wanna see Rusty Young in 1962..?

Rusty invited my bandmate (Dave) & I to a Poco concert in Denver last week & we all got together after the show for a drink & took some photos. Dave had an old pic of them back in high school that he scanned & I thought I'd post both. I think you'll agree neither has changed a bit......

Just a quick footnote about Rusty's new website (sessioncats.com)... He's going to be doing remote steel parts for folks that want him on their albums. Sounds like a great way to get a HOF sound on one of your tunes. My band is certainly going to make room for him on our next one. My bandmate had a ...

Wally, Just a little bump for you here... When I saw this MSA, I did a double take. It looks just like mine (except mine is a D12). I was told by Reese that my serial number (2C5279) was made in Sept 1976, so yours is probably a little newer. My MSA has taken over as my regular gigging axe and I now...

Tuning problem...

Folks, I'm having a problem with my MSA Classic & I was hoping someone could clue me in on the obvious solution. It has to do with a knee lever. After I've tuned a string to pitch, I engage the lever & attempt to tune the raise. I can adjust the nut so that the raised string is in tune, but ...
