Pssst... Wanna see Rusty Young in 1962..?

Post by Rich Currier »

Rusty invited my bandmate (Dave) & I to a Poco concert in Denver last week & we all got together after the show for a drink & took some photos. Dave had an old pic of them back in high school that he scanned & I thought I'd post both. I think you'll agree neither has changed a bit...

The concert was great too...

Dave & Rusty are the two on the right...

Hah! That's great, Rich. That middle-aged make-up job is so realistic it's uncanny!

I just gave Dave a call to verify the brand & he said it was a Fender 1000 single neck.

Russ was cranking on that Carter last week. That guy has not lost a step...

Paul played a Strat all night... No White Falcon... Hmmm....

About 25 years ago I lived in a trailer park in Denver near a guy that was selling an old Sho-Bud and he said he was Rusty's first steel teacher. He said "It got to the point where I had to tell his mom--I'm sorry he's just never going to be a steel player." LOL!
