We were in Maggie Valley this past weekend and saw a place where people go to dance and listen to music without alcohol being served. Just refreshments. We went in and saw the place and talked with, I think the owner, and he showed us the band stand and the instruments being played. The steel was a Mullen D10.
Does anyone on the Forum play the steel there or know who does.
Thanks,
Walter

Would you have been at the Maggie Valley Playhouse, or, maybe the "Stompin' Ground"??
John and Audrey Wiggins dad plays there. They had a single hit on the country charts a couple of years ago on "Penny for Your Thoughts"

Thanks I believe you are right it was the Stompin Ground. I wanted to listen and talk with the band, especially the steel player, but my wife saw a a group of cloggers at another picking barn down the highway from the Stomping Ground. and that is where we went. It was good too but did not have a steel picker.
