We were in Maggie Valley this past weekend and saw a place where people go to dance and listen to music without alcohol being served. Just refreshments. We went in and saw the place and talked with, I think the owner, and he showed us the band stand and the instruments being played. The steel was a Mullen D10.
Does anyone on the Forum play the steel there or know who does.
Thanks,
Walter |

Would you have been at the Maggie Valley Playhouse, or, maybe the "Stompin' Ground"??
John and Audrey Wiggins dad plays there. They had a single hit on the country charts a couple of years ago on "Penny for Your Thoughts" |

Thanks I believe you are right it was the Stompin Ground. I wanted to listen and talk with the band, especially the steel player, but my wife saw a a group of cloggers at another picking barn down the highway from the Stomping Ground. and that is where we went. It was good too but did not have a steel picker. |
