Who was Wimpy On Nashville Now?

Post by Wendell Fields »

I was thinking of a TV show the other day and I was wondering who the Steel Player On Nashville Now was.
They called him Wimpy but I never knew his name. If anybody knows who this is please let me know. I thought it was Hal Rugg but another person said that it was not him.
Things like this make me go bonkers!!! HA HA

Wendell, if L.S. is on the program at St. Louis this year (and he often is) maybe you could drop by and see him in person. Image

I have had the pleasure of working a few steel shows with Wimpy the last couple of years and he is playing great as always. One of the really nice guys too. I almost kept up with him on stage, but this summer I think I'm gonna get a chance on the golf course. I'm pretty sure I can keep up with him there. If you ever see a show featuring Larry Sasser, be there.

Larry, see ya soon

Hey Wendell, where you might have gotten the Hal Rugg thing is because he used to relieve Wimpy quite a bit when he needed to be off the show....JH

Does anyone know if there are transcripts or videos of Nashville Now available anywhere ?
The p/p that Larry Sasser played on that program lives at my house now.
