It sure looks interesting, sort of like a cross between a Weissenborn and a shoe box. Image The Real Audio sound file included on <a href="http://www.aloha.net/~teowen/econo.htm
" target="_blank">that page</a> gives an idea of what the guitar might sound like by itself, but I'd be interested in hearing how it sounds with other guitars.
The price is certainly right.

While I would love to have something small for travel and practice, it would have to have 12 strings like my "real" steel guitar.

I have to admit some skepticism about the sound clip--is it possible for a guitar without any apparent resonator to have such a great trashcan sound? I thought it sounded great but is it really that guitar?

BTW--it reminded me of this guitar--did anyone see this on ebay a bunch of months ago? This is cool.
