Just purchased this 1941 Mastertone Special made by Gibson. It’s small but mighty hanging between my Kay and Lazy River.Hawaiian Guitar.

Having trouble seeing it through the luster of that Kay
But, great catch!
Which tuning on which guitar?
Always look forward to your A11 posts, BTW.

The Kay is A11: AC#EGBD, the Mastertone is open D and the Lazy River is Dobro G. Lately I concentrate on C6 but I’m starting to understand what each has in common.

I have been an acoustic square neck player and collector for 30 years. The Keytone (Kay) is the only one I have ever seen. It came from Bob Smakula. Flat top, f hole arch back big body and nice overlay. Good volume. Puts the Oahu and Regals to shame.

I have a question,
How do you get them to hang sideways like that!
