The TB202 is a great amp but the very handy little TT12 speaker is too small for serious stage duty, even with 200 watts, so I loaded a TT15 cab with a JBL K130 and found contentment. Unfortunate that the neo TT 15" speaker doesn't sound as balanced as the 12" to my ears, very honky midrange and no highs above 3kHz.

I still have mine. The 202 is really missing a midrange with shift tone control.

In the "VINT" tonestack position the TB202 mids frequency center shifts with the lows and highs settings as per Leo Fender's design. If I select "VINT" eq and dial up the settings I would use on a Twin Reverb the tone is as nearly identical as could be hoped. YMMV.

I use two 12” cabs and am happy. I’d like to see YOUR Twin settings because I could always be happier!

Thusly...

I run input gain close to wide open as I would a Webb, and hold back on the VP for max sustain, using the limiter to control crunchy peaks.

Output shown is at home practice level, runs just shy of straight up most shows, coincidentally about the same 85 watts as a TR.

Thanks a million. That’s more verb than I use but I’ll give it a try!

That's why there are two grease pencil marks on the Reverb knob, it's a range not a setting. On a TR or Vibroverb it would be at 4-4.5

I set the Master close to dimed and the Gain around 2 o'clock. Tone settings are of course subjective and affected by several factors. I use less Bass and Mid, and more Treble than Dave.

The settings I have shared are for use with my 1983 Zum's 17k5 Truetone pickup and a JBL K130, i.e. relatively bright stuff. If I was using the stock Eminence TT15 speaker it would require considerably more high eq and lower mids as you suggest, as the Eminence 15" is a honky thing in the mids and the highs disappear an octave or two below what JBL or Altec speakers deliver.

Ill never be interested in running a 15 inch speaker for my taste. That's too bad they don't offer a combo anymore. I hope they change their mind.

Several seem to be still available as I purchased a new Quilter TT 12 a couple of days ago from Musicians Friend, awaiting delivery today according to UPS tracking info.

As Quilter no longer has their own production facilities once the initial Asian TT build contract was complete that was literally the end of the line. The first to become unavailable were the unloaded 12" and 15" BlockDock cabinets, then the BlockDock cabs with speakers dried up (there are a few of the 10" BlockDock units still available as of this morning), and now the complete TT12 product is "out of stock" and limited to what various retailers still have on hand, with the TT15 soon to follow. Modern economics at work.

That is interesting. I had two TT-15's which I recently sold. I personally never bonded with them.
