A detailed chronology of Buddy Emmons' personal instruments

Post by Stian Sveen »

Has anyone ever compiled such a list? I’d love to see a complete overview (of steel instruments, both pedal and non-pedal), including when he aquired and got rid of stuff, details, mods and facts about the instruments, preferably also evolving copedent info. Amps, effects, picks, volume pedals, strings, and any and all other changing preferences the Big E had is just as interesting. Basically a year by year "rig rundown" of the GOATs equipment.

If such a list already exists, please guide me to it. If not, I think all this info is out there, or indeed somewhere on this forum. The question is how to collect and arrange it..

Thank you!

As the "Foremost pedal steel guitarist" as scotty anointed him, he continued to embrace the development o the PSG after he invented the E9 tuning. Nuff said, I have to admit I love the small cowboy hat era.
