I had to bail out of YouTube like one exists a sinking ship.

The sound quality is much better on Vimeo and no adds.

I pay for youtube so I never see ads. Problem with platforms like vimeo is lack of audience. I usually watch your videos on youtube, but since I don't go to vimeo ever, I probably won't see your videos.

True, if I pay YouTube money I would not see ads. But my audience will. And I get paid zero.
The free ride for YouTube is over.

Rich Arnold- It's good to have an alternative to Youtube. It's a nice page without the distractions of Yt

You ain't just whistling Dixie.
On Vimeo the sound quality is much better too. I can really do some grinding on there!
Moreover, I can target an audience when I post those videos in places myself better than some brain dead algorithm.
I could post my YouTube videos around too, but YouTube, was getting a free ride from my hard work and were never pulling their weight.
YouTube might have been a good idea at one time, but at some point they stopped feeding my videos to my subscribers.
I think the only reason people are still on YouTube is the same reason a flock of birds will land in a place where there is no food.
We're here because we're here, because we're here.

YouTube is an option. For me a bad one.
YouTube is a game of hide and seek, that is if you think for one silly minute that YouTube is going to help you out.
When they place commercials for my audience pertaining stiffening male genitals and others explaining that you have 50 pounds of poop in your intestines and how to get it out...
I don't need that kind of help!!!
I can't recall the number of time I've seen that and simply clicked out before even watching the video.
YouTube rakes in a profit from this. I never did.
We've all heard the hype about videos gong "viral" and people becoming millionaires overnight.
That's the same kind of cockahoop that stampedes people to line up for the purchase of lottery tickets.
Don't we all want to make money while we sleep?
A bargain is a transaction that benefits both sides.
With YouTube it's a one way street.
I think I've beaten this dead horse enough.
You do what you want.

The biggest issue for me and YouTube is latency between video and audio. Seems to happen sporadically. I have tried all of the fixes suggested and still get it. Hoping Vimeo is better about that problem.

So far it's been working fine. But I post a lot of audios.
I could elaborate farther on the problems I've had with YouTube. They have been multiple and any one of them is something that should never be tolerated.
