Here's a little shameless self-promotion. I'm excited that someone wanted to talk to me! Brian Fish (Secret Guitar Club Podcast) talks to me about guitarring and my pedal steel history. Topics covered: Being one of the few guitarists in Gunnison, CO, Jam Band early days, Over-optimistim about a life in music, Berklee College of music, reality sets in, I can't listen to jazz anymore, B-Bender, ways to not rehearse with a band: become a pedal steel player, etc.! Enjoy!
Hey, Jeff. I've watched your videos and lessons and enjoyed hearing the interview. I was kind of expecting you to play some Eric Heywood licks on the pedal steel but you went for Nirvana - which was different and fun with those low strings on the 12 string Williams. Thanks for sharing. (Also, nice Fender B-Bender Tele)
Thanks Chuck! I couldn't have learned the instrument without you! Somehow you planted the seed in 1998 when I saw your solo album at Cheapo Discs. It sat in my subconscious for decades. Plus all the help you gave me when I got a good steel. Thank you.
