Multiple New Pickups For Steels With Unique Mounting Arrangements

Post by Scott Swartz »

I have developed multiple special mount pickups over the last couple of years, but realized I have never posted an announcement here.

Stage One Single Coil - The Stage One is currently available with only a humbucker, and this model provides a single coil choice that fits correctly within the low profile area available on these steels.

Emmons Student Model / GS10 Humbucker - These are known to be great sounding steels, but originally came with a very low profile single coil mounted to a pickguard. My Emmons Student Model Humbucker mounts to the pickguard in the same way but is a dead quiet humbucker.

Fender / ShoBud Artist Humbucker - These steels also came stock with a very low profile single coil. My Fender ShoBud Artist Model Humbucker is the same size and mounts in the same way, but is a dead quiet humbucker.

Early MSA Mount Humbucker - The early MSAs have a very small pickup pocket (1 ich by 4 inch) and originally came with a single coil. My Early MSA Humbucker gives owners of these steels a choice to move to a humbucker.

Jackson Maverick Model Humbucker - The current manufacture Jackson Maverick uses a single coil with a special tab mount. My Jackson Maverick Model Humbucker is an exact fit but is a dual blade humbucker for dead quiet operation.

Growler 6 String Model Humbucker - The current manufacture Growler 6 String Pedal Steel uses a single coil with a special mount. My Growler Model Humbucker fits the cutout but is a dual blade humbucker for dead quiet operation.
