TSGA Thursday Night Showcase Reviews

Post by Craig Stock »

I'm really in interested to hear of reviews of the Thursday night Showcase of a bunch of younger players that Steel Radio promoted at the Texas show.

A lot of these guys are tearing it up keeping high quality steel up front and accessible.

Would love to hear of any reviews or videos of their performances.

Thanks, Craig

Well I wasn't able to go; But I did hear the Final Player of that Thursday and that is my Step-Son Caleb Lindley and he sounded amazing(his set on his Facebook).
I know all the other ones also; and they are all just Beyond Incredible; I am so so Proud to say; that the Pedal Steel Guitar will NOT go away with next Generation; it will Continue on and the most amazing part, is all them Boys are playing Steels from the 60's and not much newer.... and are listening and learning what all their Mentors had to offer; just like we did.
I'm So PROUD OF ALL OF THEM and they are doing it right in Moving Music that makes us move to the front of our Chairs in Amazement.

Ricky, I couldn't go either but I listened to the broadcast other than several dead spots and enjoyed the talent. These young players have set a new standard in tone and ability. I believe we have cultivated a wonderful group of excellent talent to carry the torch. My thanks for steelradio.org and all the video posted including our friend Rhonda from the Mullen room. I hope to make it to next years show.
