Just in case you people who play slide don't know or haven't tried it, I thought I'd post this thread about a slide company called "The Rock Slide".
I used a sort of thick glass for a lot years mostly because it seemed to work the best for my slide playing. I think the weight, fit and sound worked out much better for me than any metal type slide. Just seemed smoother. Having watched a lot of Dylan Adams video's he talked about why he tried out and now uses a brass slide made by "The Rock Slide" company. Looks like he used a glass slide at first too. From what I understand the company makes a Dylan Adams version of the slide they custom made for him, however I did not get that one.
I got a brass slide, I really liked the fit because it's tapered on the inside which gives you more of a form fit. It's got a notch on the end so you can bend your finger to get the slide firmly against the last knuckle you where you bend your finger. On the other end there's a long tapered route you can use to place your finger against or in to hold the slide still for better control. It comes highly polished and lastly it's a bit heaver while at the same time having thinner walls and that can help a lot with intonation problems. I can't tell you it makes me a much better player but it's a very comfortable slide to wear. I find myself playing quite a bit more slide when I practice now. At first it was because it was a new toy but that novelty hasn't worn off.
Only sort of bad thing is the cost is upwards around $40-$50 (+/- $5) depending on which (of many) model you get. I have their glass on as well but the brass one is the one that worked out best for me. Anyway, check it out if you like at - https://therockslide.com/

I got a brass Rock Slide last year and it’s the first one I actually like (after trying many glass and metal slides)! I agree with all the reasons you mention.
