Thanks Ryan. Listened through Audacy on Roku last night. Interesting evolution? or maybe just changes to the way the instrument is played through the years.

Everything from 1940s Os to modern day JD. Quite the contrast. I'm not saying modern is better, only different.

Those early years are very important and quite listenable and inspiring as well, the music was just different.

I was always a fan, but when I heard Jerry Douglas in the 70s, I guess, that did it for me....except I can't keep up with JD and his ilk today. I try, but I do better listening than playing and tend to just slip mine back in the case or consider selling them. 😩🤔

Great stuff SteelRadio.org available on many platforms. Besides Ryan's program, just a veritable cornucopia of steel guitar of all styles in instrumentals, steel in songs from many eras, some history etc. Listen in when you can.

Hi Jerry,

Thank you so much for listening to our shows.

Jerry Douglas is a legend to me. While creating this particular episode, I realized just how awesome music is out there, for which he can take partial credit. Recently, I was listening to J.D. Crowe & The New South, which I had forgotten had Jerry on, and I fell in love with that sound all over again. I can't help it.

Thanks again for tuning in!
