RIP: Bill Barnett

Those of you from the older generation may remember the paper copy version of the magazine, 'Steel Guitar World Magazine'. Russ Rask was the publisher.
Anyway, Russ' helper and side kick for the mag was Bill Barnett, and always stationed at the magazine booth at Scotty's, Dallas, and some of the other conventions during the 1990s.
Bill Barnett passed away last Thursday, September 21, 2023 due to health complications.

Bill was a steel guitar fan to the max! He just couldn't get enough of the sound. He played as well, as a bedroom picker, he was actually quite good too, especially on some of the ballad classics. He never did practice that much. For years he worked and owned his own construction company, specializing in concrete work and house foundations.
