I've had these since the early 80's. They are for sale on SGF now. When I was testing them I noticed the "6" has only two conductors (one center conductor and shield). The "7" has 3 conductors and no shield (red, black, and ground. It will work with either or both red and black combined with ground.
The "6" is bassier for C6 and the "7" is for E9. My guess is they need to be wired together to achieve humbucker capability. Am I right?
