Hey, we are having our next quarterly Los Angeles area steel guitar meetup at the usual place/time.

Sunday 7/23, noon, at the Cat and Fiddle, 742 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood, CA 90038, phone 323 468 3800.

Well, John, sad to say we've not had one! But we have a strong group socially established. Have had ideas but nothing concrete yet. Will have to identify a location, then figure out the exact format (live, tracks, etc). I think no one wants to spend $500 for BiiB, so we'll probably go with live band. Just need to find a church basement somewheres ..

Reminder about our meetup, this coming Sunday, noon, July 23rd -- if you're within driving distance of Hollywood, come on by -- we've got a couple of well-known professional steelers attending, so you are welcome to come by and *bend* their ear!
