Many people have requested information about the new Celestion Speaker being used in the Nashville 112 amplifiers.

Before this speaker was approved by Peavey, it was tested by Buck Reid, Steve Hinson and me.

All 3 of us were impressed that the speaker has the same tonal qualities as the original Blue Marvel speaker, but with better separation of tones and the new speaker will handle 200w, making it suitable for the Nashville 112 and other steel guitar amplifiers.

This new Celestion speaker will be available through John Fields and can be pre-ordered at hessiemae@hotmail.com or you may order through me at Bferguson1947@gmail.com.

Shipping is expected in November or December, 2022.

The price is $149.00 USD plus shipping from Mississippi, USA

If you have interest or would like to preorder, please let us know by email or post in this thread.

Here are the specifications and pictures of the new speaker.

Looks great..any plans in the works for a 15 inch version??.. lots more pedal steels are run through amps with 15 inch speakers than 12 I would think, and I'm sure there would be considerable interest in a 15 inch version...
I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

no gear list for me.. you don't have the time......

Celestion developed these to replace the old Webb/Eminence part in the Peavey Nashville 112. With enough interest in this 12" as an aftermarket speaker, they would be willing to do a 15". I'm planning to stock and distribute these in the US, if I can get enough interest.
Thanks,
John C. Fields

Thanks Jerry. If I can get about 20-25 interested parties within 3-4 more weeks, I can secure them and have them shipped by early December. I got you down for one if it happens. Thanks!
Thanks,
John C. Fields

Update....due to purchasing issues, I'm not going to be getting these in large quantities. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience.

I am trying to convince Peavey to stock them as a Service part (#30777234), instead. I will post any updates on that progress here.

Just for grins, I do still plan to post a qualitative comparison of the Sterling F250, an old Blue Marvel, and a JBL D120-F on YouTube soon.
Thanks,
John C. Fields

Market Reality

Post by Jim Saunders »

It seems that when something goes out of production, the value of those already produced goes up. Like the legendary push pull Emmons guitars, Webb amps, and Nashville LTD's. I wonder if this pattern will happen to the Blue Marvel speakers?
