Send In The Clowns

Post by John A. Russell »

When I got my second PSG, a Carter S10, I was a roadie for three weeks, for an American Singer Songwriter.
At one gig (I wasn't playing) a guy in a band asked me to play his Carter, no bar, no pick. As a beginner, I managed to pick out "Send in the clown"s, (open Strings)
I have just tabbed it as a full tune. Bit tricky, but sounds nice.

Anyone wanting to try it, leave you email address here and I will send you a copy.
I will leave it open for two weeks.

Kind Regards

J.R.

Hi John -

Another great song
Hal Rugg had it on one of his CD's and played it at Scotty's Convention.

Sure would appreciate receiving your tablature.

Kind regards

Jeff Newman and Mike Auldridge did a nice version on "Smoke." Maurice had it on "Universal Steel Man" and "Upon Request." Weldon Myrick did a nice version on "Pedal Man."

IMHO, the song has a beautiful melody... but the lyrics are soooo dog gone depressing! :-)

If you would be so kind, John, please send me a copy to dan@dankelly1.com. I will just have to double up on my Prozac while I am learning it! :-)
