Hey all.

I was talking with my friend Sarah.
As you all probably know, Sarah had real bad
health issues, the middle of the last decade.
She now has a life juggling with her carreer and
looking after a loved one.
Despite all that, she has said that she gets
asked all the time, for the tab to her, "Last Horizons".

Sarah asked me to tab it and give it to you guys,
for free.

Now if you would be kind enough, to leave Sarah a message here and leave your email address, or send it to me via a PM, I will send it to you.

Sarah,
Sorry to hear that you've had health problems over the last little while and I hope that they will sort themselves out with medical help.
Thanks for your most generous offer of the tab for "Last Horizons".

I had been considering getting into pedal steel for years. Seeing Sarah's City Lights videos is what pushed me over the top to finally get one. Besides being a great player, I like how she lets her personality shine through in her performance.

"Last Horizon" is an absolutely beautiful piece of music.

Prayers for Sarah. Thank you for the beautiful music.
Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous; praise is meet for the upright. Give praise to the Lord with the harp, chant unto Him with the ten-stringed psaltery. Sing unto Him a new song, chant well unto Him with jubilation. For the word of the Lord is true, and all His works are in faithfulness. The Lord loveth mercy and judgement; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

I loved that video of you changing a broken string while both singing and keeping the rhythm! I also really liked your video playing Brian May's Last Horizon - the guitar player was great too on that one! Hope you get well soon!

Sarah, I have yet to hear anyone play this song with the touch you have mastered for it. You are up there with the best of them, Buddy Emmons even knew that. What a blessing to have such artists. buzzbetty@hotmail.com

Sarah Jory - Last Horizon

Post by Jim Shultz »

I am just starting on the journey to play pedal steel... looking at videos of historical and contemporary players.

I recently came upon Sarah Jory and now this thread...

I am hoping whatever issues she is facing will pass with her coming out of it stronger than ever.

The world needs more pedal steel players like her to keep this beautiful instrument current.

Having a TAB of this would give me something to strive for.

She is sure one of the best. A very remarkable player, and a wonderful lady.

I wasn't aware of her health issues. She is an amazing player and equally nice person. I talked with her and her husband in Dallas about the effects pedals she used. They couldn't have been more gracious.
Thank you John for the tab on Last Horizon. I love the way she plays that song. Beautiful melody.
