Hardcore Country

Post by Rick Campbell »

Here's the latest from my home studio. This is as country as it gets. First time to record using the Quilter Superblock on steel.

Rick, you're killin' us ! LOL ! Really nice , my favorite part is the "ew's" moving harmony line behind the lead vocal in the chorus . Brings me right back to the POCO days !

well done !

thx for posting.

Thanks buddy. I don't know much about POCO. Actually, a high-school girlfriend had an eight track of them. I learned that stuff from the Carol Lee Singers, Nashville Edition, etc... from the 60's and 70's country recordings and the Opry. You know Darrell McCall's brother Dennis was one of the Carol Lee Singers. They did all of the Opry background vocals. Darrell was always a favorite writer and singer.
