New arrangement: Midnight at the Oasis in B11th tuning

Post by Andy Volk »

This one was challenging to do! In addition to the song, it includes Amos Garrett's famous guitar solo arranged for lap steel just about note for note.

Really a nice job on this one Andy. In my last band we used to do this cover.... and the deeper I got into Amos Garret's playing, the more I was amazed.. particularly how he carries two low harmony notes, as he is sliding up the neck. Real genius for sure.

Anyway, nice to see another steeler is attracted to this classic!

Could have used your tab in 2018, ha ha ha.

Keep up the great work.

Thank, David. It was a tricky one to do!

Amos is a unique stylist and still going at age 80.
