Original Mahavishnu Orchestra bassist, quite an important figure in the fusion world. He was 80. RIP.

I guess not that many people know of Rick Laird. I just see this as I'm scrolling through and I was always a big Rick Lairdfan I did not know he had passed. I will put on birds of fire and have a listen again
