Thelonious Monk's "Well, You Needn't"-Oahu Diana

Post by Steve Cunningham »

Been playing a lot of 6-string lately...didn't realize how much I've missed it! I usually play this tune on 8-string, but sometimes less is more...

I think I need to find some more of your videos, wow! And that tone, the extra bit of hair on it is just perfect. Really, really impressive playing though.

Thanks guys! It's been a blast reconnecting with my old 6-stringers the past few months...everything I've done the last 6-7 years has been on 8-string.

That might be the coolest thing I've ever heard on steel.

When does the album come out? :-)

Thanks Rob! Unfortunately that song won't be released, but I have new EP that was just released a couple days ago, featuring acoustic slide resonator, dobro, etc, along with ambient Bill Frisell-like electric bass...here's a Spotify link (it's also on a bunch of other digital platforms)...
