If we knew what song you were talking about, maybe we could help
AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. My current rig of choice is 1993 Emmons LeGrande w/ 108 pups (Jack Strayhorn built for me), Goodrich OMNI Volume Pedal, George L's cables, Goodrich Baby Bloomer and Peavey Nashville 112. Can't get much sweeter.

The only credits I found from that song were listing Buddy Emmons on steel.

Here's what I found... CURTIS POTTER/THEM OLD HONKY TONKS. Recorded in Nashville with some of the permier pickers from the seventies and eighties POTTER performs twelve tracks salvaged from his days with STEP ONE RECORDS. Instrumentation includes fiddles, steel guitar, electric lead, piano, bass & drums. Musicians are comprised of the late DAVE KIRBY, BUDDY EMMONS, JIMMY CAPPS, DAVID SMITH, KENNY MALONE, ROB HAJACOS, HANK SINGER & BUNKY KEELS. Track listing: HONKY TONKS ARE CALLING ME AGAIN....I'LL NEVER ALWAYS LOVE YOU....HOLDING ON TO HOLDING ON....I COULD NEVER LOVE YOU....WE'RE NOT TALKING ANYMORE...EVERY TIME I HEAR A FIDDLE PLAY....FAR AWAY FEELING....I CAN'T KEEP MY MIND OFF OF YOU....LOST IN THE SHUFFLE....LET ME LOVE IN PEACE....I'M NOT CRAZY YET(Ray Price cover)....THE DAY YOU LEFT ME(Tommy Duncan cover). Lots of skip, skip twin fiddles and Texas shuffles on this one. Twelve performances.

I love the subtle delay between the double-stop notes; makes it sound almost like twin guitars. Buddy used that technique occasionally, but I learned it from Stu Basore, and he used it a lot!
