Johny Garcia, her longtime band leader , plays a lot of steel parts on guitar.

I hate when that happens.

I especially hate when that happens and there IS a steel guitarist in the band! Mad

Short but relevant story: One time I sat in with a band that played Sleepwalk and the lead guitarist did all his faux steel guitar parts and never even gave me a solo on the song! Mad

Too bad. Trisha's first CD was terrific. I was blown away by her voice, the songs and production on that recording.

I guess some artists shun the steel guitar on tour...a let down for steel pickers who attend these shows.

Paul Franklin played steel on her records. He was also in her video "The Song Remembers When".
