Sold pending completion of sale—Thanks Bob and all

Post by Dennis Martin »

Up for sale is my Jackson Blackjack. It is an S10 with 3 pedals and 5 knees, set up Emmons style with the “E’s” on the left knee. I believe this guitar to be in excellent condition. Plays very well and stays in tune. I need to get $2100 and that will include shipping to lower 48. Thanks for looking. I will try to answer any questions.

Is the changer a triple raise triple lower? Any lowering range limitations - mainly wondering if it has enough range to lower the E’s to a D and string 3 lower to an F#?

Hi Greg,
The changer on the Blackjack is different from others I have seen. I am not an expert at all and really don’t have much knowledge of the mechanics of the steel. The changer appears to be a triple raise and single lower, however I am not totally sure about that. Maybe other forumites can chime in here. I will be glad to post pictures if you would like to see it. Thank you for the interest.

BlackJack Pulling mechanism

Post by Dawn Jackson »

Dennis is correct. The BlackJack pulling mechanism is triple raise single lower. These are outstanding guitars in this price range and I get messages often from people around the world about how much they enjoy playing them. Of all our pulling mechanisms, this was actually the most expensive to make. I personally love the look :)
