Avid or causal, road, mountain, vintage.... What do you ride and how often? Do you have a stable of bikes or keep it to one or two?

I'm fairly new to Bikes, I ride a 2015 Trek Marlin 6 mainly, 30 to 50 miles a week.
My goal is to never use my truck within the boarders of my town.

And a 1975 Schwinn varsity for fun ...

I ride a bit. We have what they call "Rails to Trails" around here, where they convert the old rail roads into bike paths. When I'm feeling adventurous I'll go out on the snowmobile trails. Fun stuff. I'm pretty casual about it. A few years ago I did a 20 mile ride on some trails.

used to put up to a couple hundred miles a week on the poor man's road bike. (in my 30s and 40s....i'm 67 now) probably why my heart still works.
still try to put a few miles on it some mornings,
sacramento has the great 'american river bike trail'.

old bianchi, old campy..

Don't have any pics handy but I ride 150+ miles a week most weeks. Got a Specialized Tarmac with Dura Ace. Cycling has taken me from 235lbs down to about 158.

I used to race both road and cyclocross. It was a tough life finishing a gig at 1am and then lining up for a crit at 7 or 8am!

Might get back into 'cross this fall. Currently a Ridley Damocles/Sram Force on the road, and a Kona Jake the Snake with Rival/Red for 'cross.

I ride whenever the weather pemits. I have a ten mile loop that I do with almost no traffic. I have a Kona Splice 29'r. It's for people who think they want a mountain bike but really don't.

I ride four times a week or so. I do a leg of the bike path near my home, follows the river, mostly naturalized, often see deer, herons, snapping turtles. Do an hour or a bit more each time on my 70's Raleigh Sprite. Just came back from a ride.

Here are my bicycles. I live close to the Clinton River Trail and enjoy riding on it as well as at the Metro Parks and around the local lakes. The tandem is a 1965 Schwinn Twinn with a 2-speed Bendix hub. I hope to ride a lot this fall in cooler temps... actually up until the snow flies.

I ride a recumbent bike on the trails here in Florida. The longest ride I've done is 38 miles. It was a super ride with friends.

Too many crazy drivers on very congested roads in New Jersey to safely ride on the street , a least where I live. I wouldn't advise anyone around here to do it , unless you're on a bike trail

Here is essentially what I ride. A vintage black Raleigh three speed. I guess it goes along with playing vintage pedal steels. The bike is rodded, if you notice, no cables for those brakes. The brakes don't exactly stop the bike, they just slow it down

I ride every day, a 'commuter' bike from my nephew's stable of carbon fiber models.
Gotten to where I prefer it over automobiles; ecologically brilliant as chris says,
makes me feel good; don't know what I'd do without it.

My Trek 2000 purchased in 2003 has 21,300 miles. I bike 6 miles Mon-Thurs and Sat I bike 17, Sundays it's between 8-10 miles. Holidays usually 25 miles.

My EKG results are excellent, heart rate at rest is 50-53 bpm.

Not bad for going on 67.

I have more lap steels than bicycles, but not by much - they are certainly my two favorite hobbies. I cycle to work almost year round, then do a few charity rides. And a new velodrome just opened close by! If only someone would open the equivalent for lap steels!

I ride a Rans Stratus long wheelbase recumbent. I put 250 - 300 miles a week on it when I lived in Michigan. only putting 25 - 50 miles a week on it here in Texas. Longest ride was from middle of Ohio to Mackinaw bridge - 550 miles in 7 days, hauling a BOB trailer with camping gear. I am looking into doing the Adventure Cycle southern tier bike trail - California to Florida before I turn 75 (69 now).

Here's my beloved Serotta titanium road bike, which I sadly don't ride as often as I used to, new to my area and haven't found any local pals to ride with, and it's rather windy on our prairie.

Up until 3 years ago, I rode 20-25 miles a day. Here in Northfield Ohio, I am close to a great trail in the Cuyahoga Valley Park. But a couple years ago I started taking BP meds, and they messed with my balance. Not interested in a fall at 69 years old. I really, really miss it though!

I live in a small drinkin town at the beach and I ride my bike to and from the bar everyday cheaper than drivin a van home drunk ..
But I've always used my bike for exersize when it comes to being a front man or a solo act and needing to keep my wind up for singing ..
Dont take long to get ready to do a singing gig
2/3 days of exersize riding and Im good to sing all night ...

Oh yeah ! I ride both road and mountain trail, and I commute to work on a single speed/fixed gear. Have been doing so for years. As a matter of fact shortly after I bought my first pedal steel I broke my right hip mountain biking. Couldnt work for a few months so I spent hours and hours behind my Stage One, learning to play.
