SOLD! Lucky Dog Televangelist Buck Owens Tribute relic.

Post by Anthony Sims »

This guitar made its debut opening up for Merle Haggard in front of 40,000 people 2 weekends ago.. pretty good way to break it in.

I built it to sell over a period of 8-10 weeks & couldn't resist playing it at the Hag show (video included so you can hear it). Believe it or not, this guitar started out as a brand new build. CNC routed body, nice hard maple neck with great fretwork. I follow a very time consuming process to produce the super aged wood as well as aging all the hardware.

Pickups are Lindy Fralin Blues special in bridge, factory fender neck pickup. The newer Kluson locking vintage style tuners. The neck is also sleeved to use machine screws for very very tight fit. Dunlop strap locks.

This is one that I'll be glad to hold on to if it doesnt sell quickly, it just feels good & sounds great.

I might consider a trade for a Milkman Half & Half, but overall prefer to sell. $1800

I know that some people like the relic'd guitars, but when you're a small builder, without the evidence of a longer history - the relic'd stuff makes it harder to evaluate your whole skill set. There's a few guys who ONLY seem to put that out, Nash and his Teles, Fano... they may BE great, but the looks can't tell you that.
