Peck Rowell RIP

Post by Carey Harper »

Peck Rowell who is Ernie Rowell s father died last night as the result of an automobile accident in Auburn,Ala. He had one of the best bands and ran owned a dance hall at Blue Creek on Lake Martin for many years. He also was probably the first band leader to give Mike Johnson a paying gig. Ernie and the family are in our prayers.

I'm guessing he is this Peck Rowell. It's a fine rockabilly record from 1956. Always wondered who the vocalist "C. Walton" was.
