Hi, Pat Quilter exhibited his new amp at the LA AMP SHOW this last weekend and I thought you'd like this.

Loni, I have been beta testing this amp for several months now and flat out LOVE it. It has the tone that my Fender Twin had years ago but is very light in weight. It is a killer.

I just finished a video with my father, Gary Sill and Pat Quilter showing all the features of the amp using a pedal steel so this should be very helpful to everyone. I will have it up sometime tomorrow as long as my internet doesn't fail me

Quilter still does not have this on their web site. It sounds and looks like this amp is a winner. Very well thought out. It has the Eminence EPS-15C in it. Only 35 pounds. Anyone know what the typical pricing is on this amp?

Beta testing is the final tests with end users, a company does before finalizing and marketing a product.

Kevin...There is another video on Youtube where Pat Quilter is being interviewed at the NAMM show about the 'Steelaire' and I believe that he quoted the price to be somewhere in the $1300.00 range,

In the demo video, there's a delay pedal patched in the chain, and Pat admits tremolo is more for guitar players. That, right there, is a pretty obvious admission that delay would be more useful than tremolo. If this amp is to be marketed with pedal steel in mind, that's the one glaring issue for me.

I don't mean to be negative by the way. Any product designed for pedal steel is welcomed, and it's exciting to see Quilter amps interested in providing us with a quality lightweight amp. As a potential customer, I'm just trying to provide some constructive opinion on the subject.

One more thing, many of us already have rooms full of speaker cabinets, so hopefully the amp will be available in head only configuration.

I think that is a very fair price for an amp of that quality. Nice to see the thought put into that amp.

Alex, I had a long talk with Pat Quilter about the delay issue as well. I used to be a big delay user and wanted that also in the amp. But his view point well taken. To do an internal delay would require at least three more controls and would make the amp larger and more expensive.

I have been testing and using the amp with no delay lately and I am loving the tone. The reverb inn this amp is stunning and I am finding that the delay actually clouds the sound of the reverb. Besides, those who use delay all vary on their use of it and what model.

As far as the tremolo, I am actually liking it more and more. It is great for my organ effect. The amp is great in many ways.
