Rusty?
Will Rusty Young be performing this year? If so has the day been confirmed?

Rusty Young
I checked his website and the calendar. There was no mention of ISGC in St. Louis. I am sure hoping to see him play. One good thing- I get to see POCO this summer!
Pedal Steel Guitar is "Music from Heaven"

They are playing in Corvalis, Oregon this Friday, about 1.5 hours from where I live.
I might go.
If I do I will ask him about St.Louis.
It is a college event so probably easy to track him down.

Saw Poco last night and spoke with Rusty.
He said they live in Missouri and are currently planning to go to the convention for the Hall of Fame induction, but he also said he was not really into playing there.
Sounds like it will take some coaxing from those closer to him to get him to play.
Poco sounded good!
He played alot of Dobro and Lap Steel. Also guitar and Mando (he does the intro to Heart of the Night on Mando now).
There was a Pedal Steel on stage, and the drummer told me before the show that he only plays Pedal Steel on the last song of the night.
In the end he just played guitar on the last song instead, so no pedal at all at this gig.
They do a thing where they raffle off his electric guitar (an Epiphone Junior). Unfortunately I didn't win. He signs it and you get a pic with the band. I did buy a 2004 DVD of POCO with Richie Furray and Paul Cotton and George Grantham (before his stroke), playing all the hits, so I am looking forward to watching that.
Also got a few cool Poco guitar picks.
They had sold out of the new CD so I didn't get one.
They had also sold out of black Large t-shirts, so I didn't "get the T-shirt", as they say (my actual size is extra-medium).
Rusty said he is friends with Tommy White and that they have spoken recently and are looking forward to the HOF Induction.

Or... at the least, when they have a significant musical associate who could not be present for the occasion in person, they get a recorded message from them to play over the PA system during the induction ceremony. I sure hope Richie will at least do that, if he can't be there in person... John Macy?
