A question for Fulawka players
Hi all-
I have a Fulawka S10 that I got a few years back. When I got it, it was set up with a wound .022 for the 6th string. Eddie told me that's what I should use, so I have, and I've never given it much thought until now. It seems like nobody else uses a wound string there. So my question is: do you Fulawka players use a wound .022 6th string? Is that common to Fulawka guitars or just mine?
Thanks for the info
Dave

Yes, Ed is still building Fulawka Steels. In fact I took delivery of a new S10 last September and it is certainly living up to its reputation. Love it. He had a few more on the go too including a beautiful green D10. Ed seems to be in good health but as mentioned his knees are giving him trouble. We are about 2 hours from his home so likely will be going up sometime this winter for a visit. He can give the guitar a look over and we can replenish our spices. I'll post a picture when I find out how to do it.
