Moon with Waylon

Post by Dave Zirbel »

Since Ralph is in our thoughts right now I thought I would post this for those that haven't seen and heard it. My guess is it was from the 70's. Moon is rippin' it up on the ShoBud. His tone is insane!

That's great stuff. Thanks for posting.

There is another version that shows all of Moon's picking. Very interesting to watch.

I wish there was footage of him on the Fender with Wynn and Merle.

You got that right Dave! That would be priceless. I've only seen some still pictures with Wynn, and nothing with Merle.

Ralph Mooney on Facebook

Post by Jerry Kline »

It would be nice if someone with the technical savvy to set up a 1st class Facebook page for Mr. Mooney and his great music. There is a page that 55 other people and I 'like', but no info other than the name " Ralph Mooney" is there. Just a thought.

That would certainly be a good thing. Lots of stuff could be put there, pics, links, etc.

I started a thread with a really long list of links to Mooney music and videos that's somewhere down towards the bottom of this page, or maybe a page behind by now. I put loads of various styles of Mooney playing there. Great stuff there - check it out.
