I found this song "Drifting and Dreaming" in a book of Hawaiian songs that I purchased sometime back but I wasn't all that impressed with it until I heard Dave Soreff's masterful playing of it on HSGA's website and I thought what a beautiful song and I knew I had to learn it. I found out that Dave used Jerry Byrd's arrangement so I immediately ordered Jerry's tab from Scotty which is for C6 tuning so I had to transcribe it to the Alkire Eharp tuning. Jerry's tab also has some harmonics in it (Dave has this included in his playing) but for the time being I didn't include that because I need a lot more practice in that area and then I will redo the song and include it. I recorded the song using a really cheap Flip video camera. Hope you all will give a listen.
