COUNTRY, MY WAY was recorded in Nashville with many of the same musicians who would appear some months later on Bob Dylan's BLONDE ON BLONDE. It finds Nancy Sinatra singing the proverbial pants off a nicely chosen collection of contemporary country songs.
"Jackson" is performed as a duet with her legendary sepulchural producer Lee Hazlewood as is Don Gibson's "Oh Lonesome Me." For good measure, Sinatra also finds the time to out Skeet Skeeter Davis on a poignant version of the classic "End of the World."
Personnel: Nancy Sinatra (vocals); Dolores Edgin, Delores Edgin, Ricky Page, Hurshel Wiginton, Joe Babcock (vocals); Billy Strange (guitar); Charlie McCoy (harmonica, vibraphone); David Briggs (piano); Buck Trent (electric piano); Buddy Harmon (drums ;
Buddy'E'Emmons(steelguitar)
Arranger: Billy Strange.
