Hey Terry, many thanks for a beautiful song from
one of the masters of steel guitar. I love to hear
them old classics, and that's one of my favorites.

Are there any superlatives left to describe the playing of Mr. Lloyd Green, and with 2 Knee Levers they tell me.

James.

Hi Bent

I am sure. The posting was a bit confusing, I thought it was going to be Terry playing, but after the first two notes, I knew it was Lloyd. It was nice to hear it again after a few years.

What a great player and great man.
I was lucky enough to meet him a few
times, once being in Madison in Duane
Marrs shop in 1979. He was flying high
then and he was only too happy to
spend some time chatting and telling
stories and answering questions.
Thanks very much for posting.

Hi

Post by David Hartley »

I just made a track up for this today.

I will have a go at playing it if I can remember how.

This was one of the many instrumentals I learned years ago, and it was so nice to hear it again after all this time, that I just have to re-learn them 'pretty licks' again.

It'll have to be the Sho-Bud I reckon..

I will see if I get a chance tonight..

Hi again

Post by David Hartley »

Ok. I have posted my version. It has it's own thread in this section of the forum. It's as I hear Lloyd playing it. It has some very interesting playing positions using string 2 lower from Eb to Db a lot during the instrumental. Thank again Terry for posting this beautiful version by Lloyd Green. It has bought back a lot of memories for me as I used to sit for hours working these types of instrumental out. I have tabbed it too. I will make it available soon.

Regards.
