I know of no one who deserves tribute more than "The Moon", but it would take a dozen such CDs to even hint at all the tremendous accomplishments of his long career. That's why my subtitle states that this is just a "glimpse" of The Moon.

This is probably the most "Feel Good" CD I've ever recorded. It's upbeat and (I Hope) a lot of fun to listen to. I want to thank, Tommy Jennings (Waylon's younger brother), Fred Jack, Al Brisco, and Ol' Moon himself for participating in what I feel is a very special project which pays homage to a very special musical giant.

The playing time on this CD is 34:00

Here are eight sound samples, and there are more on my site. Click on the title to listen.

** Moonshine

** Merle Medley

** Foolin'

** Moon's Mingus Medley

** Mooney Had His Back

** Buck Medley

** Texas Wlatz

** Mister Moon

That sounds like a lot of fun to me, good songs, good Steel playing, a throw-back to better times I think.

Well done.

James.

James,

You bet it was fun. All I can do is throw back but I wouldn't have it any other way.
