OK Walter !! You've stumped me this weekend !! All I can think of is Texas or Canada...Not a clue. He (or she...) certainly has their own style and voicing.

John's got it - it is German's top steel player Frank Baum. He still plays a German ABM guitar with reversed necks, like Curly Chalker did.

I believe that he played on some songs on the Rosanne Cash album that was recorded in Munich, which was her first record.
