Steel Drill - E9th - C6th - Greg Cutshaw

Post by Greg Cutshaw »

This is an original steel song I've been working on for a course I'm writing. My PSG strings are about a year old so I changed the E9th ones after recording this to new Jagwires from B0B. I used the Classic Vibe tele for rhythm and played it up the neck a bit. All guitar parts played through a stock reissue Delixe Reverb and all steel parts through a stock Fender Steel King.

Thanks Roger! I am just lazy about changing the strings. New ones buzz a little bit less but sound a bit too brittle for me. I did put on a new set of B0B (Jags) strings and will put out a tune with them on. You really can hear the difference in sustain as well to be honest.

It turns out that the Fender Vibro Champ that works out great for guitar and PSG (practice levels only) is my best fiddle amp by far.
