City Lights on the fly

Post by Jaclyn Jones »

On New Years we played the classic City Lights on the spur of the moment. We had never played it before and the rest of the band had only heard it once on You Tube by the great Sara Jory. I just gritted my teeth and went for it!

Lots of guitars, banjos, mandos and a Mullen G2-D10,PAC D10, 1966 Marlen D10,Line6 x3 Pro, Peavey Powerslide, Michael Kelly Dobro and a "Fox Vintage Amp" model 5F8A. Oh Yea, a very patient husband.

Jaclyn, You are improving which is good. You were on the fret and your guitar has good tone. You know a steel is difficult to play and it takes a lot of time and practice. I hace 30 years under my belt and I am still lesarning too. You keep on playing and be encouraged. I look forward to your next video.

Thanks for being so nice. After a year of steel I still find it more challenge and fun than all my other instuments put together! I also loaded a couple of songs I wrote. No steel since I can't play and sing!

Hey Jaclyn my Friend

I like it !!! particularly after only one year on steel.....you are doing Great !!!!!

But tell me???...in the video...what is the significance of the Black Halo that is hovering over you head ????...is that some American N.Y.Eveve tradition ?.....is it still stuck there from Halloween ?......just curious

G'day Tony
I had not noticed the cymbal until you mentioned it. I does look like a black halo! It would be the only kind of halo I will ever have. I think they have crossed me off the list for gold ones!
