Blue Jade --- For Roger Kelly (Thanks for the track)

Post by Jim Lindsey (Louisiana) »

Hi, guys (and gals) ...
I've been really having a hankering lately to play that really pretty tune, Blue Jade, but didn't have a track to play with.

Roger Kelly generously shared a track he had of it with me, so here's a quick film of noodling with it while I get my ideas for playing along with it (mistakes and all ... please forgive the slight sharpness in two of my bar slants). I'll upload a "replacement" video of it as soon as I get my ideas for it organized and smoothed out.

Roger, this one's for you and thanks so much for sharing a track of this with me. :)

Jim, glad to help you out with the track. Based on what I hear of your preliminary version...the final should be Great! Good touch and tone Jim.

Paul, Roger, Larry & Mike ... thank you so much. I really appreciate your comments. Y'all are way too kind. :)

I've been sort of indisposed off and on today due to a touch of stomach virus, but feeling better so now I'm ready to sit down and play around a little more with this tune. It's really a fun little song to play. :)

Jim, I, too, liked that one. Thanks for sending it. I really am envious over you players who seem to be able to sit down cold and make something nice out of a tune the first time around.

Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it. I'd like to thank both Roger Kelly and Pete Conklin each for sending me an updated track of Blue Jade that has the tempo just a tad quicker. I haven't had a chance to work on it yet as I'm kind of trying to get over some kind of stomach virus that's been on me the last couple of days. So, for the moment, that little practice run-through of Blue Jade is all I've done so far.

Soon as I can sit down at my steel for at least long enough to run through the song again without having to suddenly dash away from it  I'll try to get a much better video done. :)
